he AFM Sunnyside ladies’ department complements the service and spiritual objectives of the AFM Sunnyside assembly by serving God while providing one-on-one and group moral and spiritual support to all. In addition, this department stimulates and nurtures active involvement in church activities; coordinates and facilitates a compassionate ministry that assists the needy within the assembly. The ladies’ department consequently serves as a mobilising force for women’s involvement in the different ministries in our church, like Prayer: an increasing number of ladies praying for women-specific issues, families, church leaders and God’s will in our church; Care and support: take a holistic approach to ensure that ladies at AFM Sunnyside are well cared for in a consistent and sensitive manner. In addition to these activities, the department has Bi-annual meetings featuring:
• Qualified pastors
• Social workers
• Financial experts &
• Ladies get-together
• Prayer and fasting retreats; as well as
• The popular Annual Ladies’ Seminar.
The main focus of the department and all these activities and objectives is to keep the gospel at the center; hence, the real reason is to glorify God by reaching people with the gospel.
