The Altar workers and Support Group are two ministries that have at their core a focus on God and then an immediate one on His people. They both have similar functions and also unique methods of working and application that make them work very well together as well as apart.

The Altar Workers
The Altar Workers have their work mostly done on Sundays and special services.
What we do as Altar Workers is interact with first time visitors and people who need prayer. In our interactions with first time visitors we give them a full and in-depth message about our church and the many different services and programmes we have, and most importantly we pray for them, and leas those to Christ who do not have a relationship with Him.

My role as a leader in this Ministry is to serve God and His people. To make sure that the needs of our visitors are met as best as we can, and to make sure that when they leave, they leave with a sense of belonging and knowing that they are always welcome to come back and fellowship with us.

The Support Group

The support group has its foundation in the youth ministry of the church. It also has at its core a focus on God and His children, because a need was seen may years ago for members of our youth as well as the church to have someone to speak to about the challenges that they were facing.

Thus, from this the support group was born, and has worked in that regard. Our main aim has always been to give a shoulder to lean on to those who need the help and the support. We can never be too sure on what types of challenges people face, but what we are sure of is that there are people who are there and are dedicated to helping.
